More Information

Ayanna Brown is the 2023 National Yoga Champion, and the 2025 World Champion. She has been practicing Yoga since 1999, and went to teacher training & opened her Original Hot Yoga Studio in 2001. The following year she helped her business partner Alexander King ( her brother ), and her future husband, Glenn Brown, prepare for the teacher trainings in 2002. All 3 still teach the original hot yoga class at the studio to this day. Ayanna overcame asthma she had endured her whole life through her yoga practice, and has inspired her local community to practice for decades. Ayanna & Glenn were invited in 2002 to be mock competitors at the first Judges clinic for the up & coming Yoga Championship. The following year, 2003, they both competed in the first International Yoga Championship. Ayanna placed 6th Internationally that first year. Every year since she has trained, coached, and even spent some years as a judge. Her experience as a teacher & practitioner along with her kindness & integrity translates to exceptional classes, and the upliftment of her students. In her Hot Yoga Intensive classes you will receive invaluable guidance to progress your 26 & 2 practice.

Glenn Brown is the 2018 National Yoga Champion & a Master of Xingyiquan Kung-fu. He began practicing Yoga & Kung-fu in 1997. Part of his reasoning for picking up these arts was from falling into depression in high school, and through counseling realizing art was the most useful therapy for him. He switched from school sports ( swimming & wrestling ) to the arts of Yoga & Kung-fu. He also focused on drawing, and poetry as outlets & therapy. After not finding the right Martial Arts school for a few years he met his Kung-fu teacher, Master Bu Hong aka Keith Dwan, in 2001. The next year he went to his first Hot Yoga class, which Ayanna was teaching. So, Ayanna & Glenn met at her Yoga class, and 6 moths later he went to the original Hot Yoga Training, and just over a year after they met they got married. Together they have takin part in every year of the Yoga Championship. In 2023, Master Bu Hong, visited from England to pass down the Bu family Xingyiquan to Glenn. He became the 11th Master of the lineage, and was given his Kung-fu name, Dwan Brown. Since beginning his Kung-fu & Yoga journey Glenn developed what became a new style of Yoga, Lionflow Yoga, as a way to warm up for Kung-fu, and has been teaching this style for over 20 years. He also developed the curriculum & taught Yoga & Kung-fu classes at the college, I.U.S, for 10 years. For these classes he taught about many yoga styles, and developed class structures for Restorative, Hatha, Classical Hatha, Yin, Yin & yang, and Vinyasa, to teach along with the Hot Yoga, Lionflow Yoga, and Classic 84. Because of his diverse experience, students will learn new details & tricks to help them develop their yoga practice whether they take his Yoga, Tai Chi, or Kung-fu classes. In his classes you will learn about moving, and practicing with intention in such a way your whole practice becomes a dance of self expression.
