These Workshops have been rescheduled for January 5th to allow more time to sign up. The pricing for Workshops is higher than a usual class because we go over more information than a regular class. Both of these workshops cover a month of training for the classes covered. This will give you invaluable information as a teacher or as a student progressing your practice. For regular students, or new students these Workshops will help you step into regular class with more confidence, and ready to learn deeper levels of the practice.

Workshop Descriptions
Lazy Lion Yin & Extras – This Yin class honors the origin of Yin Yoga, Taoist Yin, which defines the balance of our entire exercise routine. In modern culture, Yin Yoga is all Yin, all soft, and very sleepy. It is a great class, but the origin of the art would balance poses that invigorate circulation before poses that need stretching & relaxation. This method makes deep stretching more therapeutic and more lasting. In this workshop, we’ll also spend extra time learning how to ground and how to include bandhas ( body locks ) into our poses for optimal alignment & breath. We’ll wrap up this workshop with a meditation focused on peeling back the layers to find silence. All skill levels are welcome. After the workshop, there will be extra time to discuss teacher training for this class.

Chen Tai Chi – Old Frame Introduction & Extras – The Chen Tai Chi Old Frame is the oldest family Tai Chi style, and incorporates the use of Yin & Yang for a balanced form, and balanced exercise. After 25 years of practice, my teacher, Master Bu Hong, taught me this form, and I am excited to share it. There is something exciting about practicing this form, whereas the other Tai Chi forms I’ve learned are more soft & meditative ( and I still love & respwct the other styles ), the Chen style balances hard & soft, external & internal, exercise & meditation like a master poem. In this workshop, we’ll work on the opening series, along with Qigong, Neigong, and warm-up routines. All student levels are welcome.
